Questo laboratorio per danzatori professionisti e semi professionisti guiderà i partecipanti nella composizione estemporanea e in forme corali di narrazione fisica. Il lavoro si concentrerà sul movimento e sulla vocalità e sarà mirato alla creazione di una performance finale. Atto comunicativo e creativo, l’improvvisazione è il motore del lavoro e gioca un ruolo fondamentale nel percorso attraverso cui prendono “forma e frase” le azioni, radicandole nella realtà del momento. L’improvvisazione guida la ricerca del rapporto tra il performer e il presente, le scelte compositive del corpo/corpi come strumento di espressione in divenire, riducendo al minimo  l’artificialità del racconto.  Sia il movimento che la vocalità sostengono un processo condiviso di “cultura di gruppo” basato sulla consapevolezza del flusso di pensiero che sostiene la creazione artistica. Il lavoro sarà sostenuto dalle sonorità della musica dal vivo di Laura Kavanaugh e Ian Birse,  artisti canadesi ospiti di Company Blu grazie al sostegno del Canada Council for the Arts.

 

 

This workshop for professional and semi-professional dancer will guide participants in extemporaneous composition and choral forms of physical narration. The work will concentrate on movement and vocality, with the aim of creating a final performance. A communicative and creative act, improvisation is the driver of the effort, and plays a fundamental role in the process through which the actions take “shape and words,” rooting them in the reality of the moment. Improvisation guides the pursuit of the relationship between the performer and the present and the compositional choices of the body/bodies as evolving instruments of expression, reducing the artificiality of the story to a minimum. Both movement and vocality sustain a shared process of building “group culture” based on awareness of the flow of ideas the supports artistic creation. The work will be aided by the sounds of live music played by Laura Kavanaugh and Ian Birse,  Canadian artists hosted by Company Blu through the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
